Most Latinos and blacks are social conservatives. It’s Republican douchebaggery that gets them to vote Democrat.

there are so many who in the past would offer hope, not mean-ness toward others. The dream act held hope in the hears of so many. to be not wanted, to be turned back violently,, lost hope brings pain, pain brings anger,, anger brings hatred. there os far too much of that in the world already. When you are in the position to cause hope or anger, friendship, not make enemies, always choose life, chose hope!

Soon, your state can be “Californicated”, too, with a one-party state that would have made any Communist Party despot in eastern Europe envious.

Republicans have their own methods of attempting to gain a permanent majority, like campaigning in churches, gerrymandering districts, etc. Every party does what it can to gain power.

And let’s not forget part of the Republican Brain Trust, John McCain and his wing, have suddenly decided that immigration reform is worth considering.

Immigrants, just like the rest of us, will vote the way they do based on what they think will benefit them; hopefully that will also benefit the country. The reason many don’t vote Republican is that Republicans care about things they don’t and don’t care about things they do.

Still, Republicans think it’s not the message, but the way they tell it. Clueless.

“In my neighborhood it’s lawn maintenace workers, roofing, siding, and ceramic tilers.”-You said that because your interests are accuracy and honesty. ConserveGov made his comment because his interests are partisanship and inflamitory rhetoric. If only he/she could be convinced that there are more valuable things than tribalism…

“…Democrats…their only true interest is expanding their power. Deception is in their nature.”

Yes, this is the nature of political parties. Your only mistake was in painting only one party in this light.

Going back decades, the real push, and pushers of immigration (illegal) from Mexico and Central America has been the Roman Catholic Church building its base. That “business folks” looking to pay sub-minimum wage under the table to folks they treat like slaves are the “economic beneficiaries” of illegals, is well, not a concern, right?

@Radish “Wha, wha, wha? Nixon’s Bay of Pigs. Nixon lost the election to the man who invaded the Bay of Pigs. …”-The Bay of Pigs was planned and begun by President Ike, a military commander that helped win WW2 in Europe.-Nixon lost the election by Democratic vote fraud in Chicago, Illinois.-The “new president” JFK and his attorney general Bobby K, messed up the plans and withdrew support forces so that the Bay of Pigs was a defeat for the USA and for Cuban refugees in the USA. IMO, if not for vote fraud, a President Nixon had a prospect of Victory at the Bay of Pigs and the possibility of ending Castro’s dictatorship and the likelihood of the return of the majority of Cubans to their homeland.

deer"killer": Do you also believe that “corporate welfare” is welfare? If so, you should be lobbying to eliminate subsidies for Big Oil and Big Pharma, etc. And for Conserve, Ansonia, Ima,read legacy of ashes, a history of the CIA which goes well into the mess we made of Cuba, starting with Ike.
