The only racial division that I see Obama causing is how all the previously hidden racists are now tripping over their tongues trying to say that it ISN’T about race.“Some of my best friends are *, but I wouldn’t want one of them to be President.”And Obama’s also played more basketball than Bush did. What’s your point?
Obama has not made it worse, that’s just one point in a long list of Romney distortions and fabrications. By every measure except government jobs (thanks, GOP obstruction), the economy has gotten better since Obama took office. The scary thing is that more than 2/3 of Romney’s economic team were in the W administration, and his plans are like W’s, only more extreme since they include irrational, anti-science Tea Party sabotage ideas.
You know, the economy will do what it does, like the weather. Congress has more effect on it than the President. On the other hand speaking out on an important issue of human rights just might actually make a ddifferance.
Rummy, Cheney and the crew started pulling spikes from the rails during the FORD administration! They went totally nuts with REAGAN, and haven’t stopped, it was called “deregulation”. Now “Republicans” in House committees are using legislative efforts to micro-manage, and take away regulatory authority of the Executive, with idiotic legislation, then using filibuster to shove it through, or attaching major impact riders and “earmarks” to “must pass” legislation.
Out of work and hungry, eat a neocon. I can’t bring myself actually to still call the majority of them actual “republicans” any more, as they ARE NOT!!
@Pemigewasset But Obama promised to fix it and has only made it worse. Real unemployment is much higher, he’s added more debt than allprevious presidents combined, he divides people on the basis of race instead of being the uniter he claimed to be, he’s played more golf in 3 years then Bush did in 8.(copy/paste ScottPM post)-every fact Scott listed is documented in official reports such as CBO….true and provable to normal minds.
As bad as Nixonomics was, I’d stop at Reaganomics. Nixonomics merely caused runaway inflation; Reaganomics caused runaway debt. However, all this wreck did start when we engaged in that silly war in Vietnam. LBJ thought we could have guns and butter; we can’t have either now. When we were in the 1960’s and transferring to a postindustrial society, we actually could afford such nonsense…for awhile. We certainly couldn’t afford Schrub’s wars.
You may want to drop the vacation myth. As of December of last year, Obama had taken 70 days off. GWB, in the same amount of time, had taken 225. And that period also encompassed 9/11 and the beginning of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
Marriage as it is today, and is considered by the government, lawyers and anyone who has been through a divorce is basically, in the end, nothing but a legal contract. To be regulated and manipulated by the goverment just like everything else, such as the tax on gas or the speed limit on the highway. As far as the government, lawyers and your employer all that other stuff, such as God, religion and even love areextras and have nothing to do with the details of marriage. And that should include the gender of your partner. Marriage in the real world of grown up boys and girls is an economic issue. All the other things we attach to it, no matter how nice, are just wishful, romantic, thinking.
Well pardon Obama if he pauses in his effort to clean up the Republican train wreck to lend his support to a group of people whose Civil Rights have been denied forever.
The House of Represenatives have worked a total of 164 days since Obama took office. If you want to know where I got that figure, I pulled it out of my ass just like you Republicans do for all your facts. And oh yes, I also got it from the Congresional bugget office.
Ima:"Bush was just the “MESS”, we’ll be cleaning the sandbox for decades to clean it up, and the $3 trilliion plus it will cost, is NOT being paid for by your noble savages who started it all.
I’d suggest you check your facts, but Dittoheads don’t believe in facts, do they? Employment is up, home prices are rising, local governments are seeing increased revenue and are once again offering raises to their employees. We are out of Bush’s idiotic mistake in Iraq and the plans to get out of Afghanistan are in place.

“Legalize poligamy first.”-—Except that is giving additional rights to some consenting adults who have more rights to begin with.
