Hmm, think George III and another band of rebels that got help from France and Germany. This time it was our turn, very much behind the scenes, not “from behind”, that has created at least a temporary success. We still need to wait and see for a couple years before determining the true outcome.

We do have “programs for the poor.” They are countless, and they do not require the government TAKING our money and creating bloated bureaucracies, Collectivists (like yourself) who equate the confiscation of our property and empowering government with doing as Christ would do have no idea who Christ is and or anything about his message. He was NOT for the forced subjugation of entire populations to do anything whatsoever. Our government (ruled by BOTH parties) is tyrannical. It’s a shame that you are too dim to realize anything through the filter of your mindless partisanship.

BTW, define “poor” for us. Do you define it as the government here does (where the vast majority have a place to live, at least one car, multiple means of audio/visual entertainment, three meals a day, and more than one government handout)? Or is it the definition for THE REST OF THE WORLD, of which 0% of Americans experience?

You are a bit off on your quote. There are some variation depend on which version of the bible but the quote is “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ It is from Mattew 25:40. That brother or sister does not have to be poor. ~Why should the first one in the street be Christian? Why can’t it be you?
