Some brown bears can use simple tools to scratch themselves, reach high places or even open closed containers.

As for berries, that category technically also includes tomatoes, pumpins, bananas, hot peppers and cucumbers. It does not include cherries, strawberries or blackberries.

    This one’s right on point.

Designing bear-proof garbage cans is very hard.

There will always be a significant overlap between the smartest bears, and the dumbest people.

Authorities in Lake Tahoe are on the lookout for three bears that have collectively broken into more than 30 homes.

Current leads suggest that the bears’ location is somewhere in the goldilocks zone.

Discovering too late that a watermelon spiked with vodka had accidentally been served to a luncheon meeting of local ministers, the restaurant’s owner waited nervously for the clerics’ reaction.

“Quick, man,” he whispered to the waiter, “what did they say?”

“Nothing,” replied the waiter, “They were all too busy slipping the seeds into their pockets.”

    For now.

I like that honey cough medicine commercial where a bear opens up a window and starts talking to a girl.

If the seeds are outside of the pulp (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) They are not berries. Seeds inside the pulp (tomatoes, watermelon, etc.) are berries.
