The giant squid also has the largest eyes of any animal on the planet, and probably the largest to ever exist. Each average eye is nearly a foot in diameter.

I would believe that puffins can dive DOWN to 200 feet. Diving up is a little harder to believe.

That squid looks like something out of the old Disney movie, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea.

Maybe the colossal squid is the Kraken of nautical legend.

I’ve got my eye on that squid. Up to no good. I’d say he’s got something up his sleeve (all 8 of them)

“Wow, this is interesting” said the tattoo artist to his wife, as he scanned the web page. “It says here that although less than half a dozen giant squid have ever been seen alive, scientists believe there may be over five hundred million of them in our oceans.”

“Why on Earth are you telling me this?” She snapped. “You’re supposed to be looking up some cool tattoo designs for my butt cheek.”

“Im going to, love.” he told her. “I’m just making sure there’s enough ink first.”

    For now.

Huh. I’d heard of the giant squid, but the colossal squid is substantially bigger. Mercifully, it doesn’t live where humans are likely to go.

The giant squid is longer, but substantially lighter than the colossal squid.

Greenland sharks live in the Artic and the water is extremely cold so it takes them a 150 years or so to warmup to sexual activity.

The biggest are likely yet to be found, and much more.
