Intern Syndrome doesn’t sound as thrilling to medical students as the worldwide coronavirus pandemic we’re all currently having if you ask me.

One time I found 2,001 year old mummies.

One time I survived 90 below zero Fahrenheit.

May the Lord be with you.

Those Egyptians had crazy ideas about the afterlife. No different than today’s religions.

They could have included the Celsius for the Woolly Bear Caterpillars (-67.7C), I’m in the US, but most of the world uses Celsius and it helps us understand the comparisons as well.

Being a physician is a poor career choice for a hypochondriac.

I’d think those were Cleopatra’s very personal staff.

Woolly Bear Caterpillars are more hearty than tRumpy Bear Caterpillars.

I don’t see nearly as many woolly bears/worms as I used to see. Autumn used to see them covering the roads so densely that you could not avoid running them over when driving. Now, I see a handful or less on the back country roads. Pity, I miss checking out their color bands and seeing if the old tales of their stripes predicting the weather were true.

Nate Westbury did most of the work on today’s strip.

When you study diseases, you become aware of the symptoms that are associated with various disorders. We ALL have SOME of the symptoms of a whole array of disorders, but actual disorders usually have a broad SERIES of symptoms that go with their territory. Obvious over-exaggeration to illustrate the point: “I have a sore throat. It COULD be throat cancer!” when it’s FAR more likely to be something else.

That is not just for " interns". Interns are medical students usually in their last year of.medical before becoming a real doctor and goes on to residency. This affects both some medical and nursing students. This was addressed to my class back in 1976. It was more an issue with students entering the medical fields and first hearing about all these new pathologies. Never heard the term Intern’s Syndrome.

How many wool-bear caterpillars does it take to make my wife a winter coat?
