Toppa the marnin’! I’m sticking with the luck of the Irish again for tonight’s bon mot. If I’m really lucky Eromlig won’t’ve heard this one. Since he mentioned he’s Irish, in the interest of full disclosure I’ll mention that I’m Italian on my Mom’s side. Yep. Part Jewish and part Italian. It’s worked well for me. If I can’t get something for wholesale I steal it.
And now a sweet tale of Mary and Paddy:
Mary and Paddy had been happily married for years. The only friction in their marriage was over Paddy’s habit of passing gas loudly and odorously every morning when he woke. The noise would wake Mary and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air. Every morning she would plead with him to stop. He told her he couldn’t stop and it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor cause she was concerned that one day he would blow his innards out or get a hernia or something. But the years went by with no change until on one Christmas day morning, as Mary was preparing the turkey for dinner and Paddy still sleeping, she looked at the innards, neck, gizzard, liver and all the other giblets and a malicious thought came to her. She took the bowl and went upstairs where paddy was sound asleep and she gently pulled the bed covers back, pulled back the elastic waistband of his skivvies and carefully emptied the bowl of turkey innards into them. Sometime later she heard Paddy wake with his usual loud flatulence but this time it was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran into the bath room. Mary could hardly control herself as she rolled on the floor laughing, tears in her eyes! About 20 minutes later Paddy came downstairs in his badly stained underpants and a look of horror on his face. She bit her lip and asked him what was the matter. He said, "Mary! Dear! You were right. All these years you warned me but I didn’t listen. You told me that one day I would end up blowing my guts out
All these years you warned me but I didn’t listen. You told me that one day I would end up blowing my guts out and today it finally happened! But by the grace of god, with some pushing and shoving I think I got most of them back in again !!
May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in Heaven half an hour before the devil knows you’re dead”
I have read that the lion king was inspired from ‘Kimba, The white lion’ a Japanese cartoon series, in-which in Japan was called, ‘ The jungle emperor, ,,,(Kimba/Simba), ,, The producers of the lion king have said they used to watch ‘Kimba, the white lion’ in the 60s, I used to watch it too, As a child, I thought Kimba was the most adorable thing.
Get back to that geometry class! To start with, what does excluding the base even mean? The count of eight necessarily involves the four which surround the base. In any event they are, in 3D space, called “edges”. Only in 2D would they be rightly called “sides”. And finally this is true of all pyramids with a square (or rectangular) base. There is nothing unusual or special about the Great Pyramid in this respect so why is it the subject of a “Believe It or Not”?
For future reference, all pyramids with an n-sided base have n + 1 vertices, n + 1 faces, and 2n edges. So (including the base and, of course, ignoring the basic stepped structure of the faces) the Great Pyramid (and every other similar pyramid) has 5 vertices, 5 faces, and 8 EDGES.
The linked article also states that the concavity is so slight it wasn’t even noticed until the 20th century when it viewed from an airplane. I really don’t think that qualifies as 8 sides, although it is indeed an interesting feature.
Further, the original construction had those sides covered with casing stones, which likely were perfectly even, so it doesn’t really make sense to speak of eight sides when this would have been an interior hidden feature. If that’s how you’re going to count, better count all the sides of all the tunnels and chambers as well.

One time I saw a pyramid with nine sides.
One time I found a mummy that was 5301 years old with at least 20 relatives in Australia.
May the Lord be with you.

No, really, where are the other sides of a pyramid? Four façades and the base make five.

Each of the pyramid’s four sides are evenly split from base to tip by very subtle concave indentations. That should be in the comic.
