One time I created a salami that weighed 614 pounds and was 326.5 feet long.

Better the fog than landing on people and biting them.

Take care and may God bless.

Tandil picked the wrong deli meat! They should have tried ham or bologna! Salami is the only deli meat I will leave off of my Super Sandwiches.

Did the town of Tandil also create a loaf of the bread and a pot of mustard large enough to make a 326.4 foot long salami sandwich?

Despite this being an oft cited example, did anyone really think this was what Jimi was actually singing?

One of my favorite lyricists, John Prine, who just passed away on Tuesday due to complications from Covid-19…

also sometimes sang a Mondegreen that a fan heard in one of his songs… or sometimes used it as the song title in a playlist.

He liked to tell the story in concert, and you can find it on YouTube….

A woman approached the stage and asked him to sing his song about “The Happy Enchilada”…

He humorously says he’s never written about food, so he told her maybe she had him mixed up with Jimmy Buffett…

but she insisted it was him.

So he asked her to tell him some more of the lyrics…

She said, “It’s a happy enchilada and you think you’re gonna drown.”

    Actual lyric:

“That’s the way, the world goes ’round….

    Sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down…

It’s a half an inch of water and you think you’re gonna drown…"

At six years old my friend Ronnie sang along with Buddy Holly’s “Peggy Sue”: “With a love oh where in to oh Peggy, my Peggy Sue.” I corrected him but he’d have no part of it.

Ellen Degeneres used to have a routine in her standup act about misheard lyrics. She was riding with a friend when Billy Joel’s “Keeping the Faith” came on the radio, and her friend sang, “And I was kicked in the face!”
