Nothing like the bagpipes. I was in a Scottish regiment and we had a full band. During a battalion exercise/deployment they were on the field and playing while we advanced , as far as the eyes could see, left and right there were soldiers. It was a sight to see and a feeling of immortality. You knew then how people could just walk into battle during a war.
