    My favorite Dan Quayle gaff was when he incorrectly corrected the little boy’s correct spelling of the word, ‘potato.’

    Potatoe is the British spelling of potato. Also neighbor, color, labor, and favor (probably others) are spelled with a u on the other side of the pond
