the trombone the medieval name for this was "sackbut," from the french word "sacqueboute." this translates as "sorry-ass." i'd skip it. trombone: bleat keyboard: ratatatatat. ratatatatatat tatatatatatat. ratatatatat chikaboom. percussion sorry, but all forms of percussion have now been replaced by the digitally sampled drum machine. the bagpipes features two settings, "off" and "really loud." the instrument of choice for aggressively melancholic loners. what more could you possibly want? kid: for my next selection, i'll play "a wee wadd o' haggis i' me craw," about a guy who chokes on some haggis.
In all fairness, most of us trombone players never develop a pleasant enough tone to listen to. Ironic. since in the Old German bibles, it says it will be the trombone that is played to wake the dead. Hoping it will be a pleasant tone.
