    Obscure (and yet real) though it will be, I’d like to add to the list: Albert Hall, the thankfully demolished oldest-at-the-time dormitory on the campus of Catholic University, where I dwelt austerely for my freshman year….

    not quite, the Utah territory was split due to slavery (Utah pro, Nevada anti) and Nevada was the first state to telegraph in it’s constitution, it did so on Oct. 31st to be able to vote (presubed to be for Lincon) in the upcoming presidental elections.
