It doesn’t always work!! Mostly it doesn’t come back!!

Red has one heck of an arm! 15,000 MPH pitch (neglecting air resistance).

That is some wake-up call!

If it’s shaped like a boomerang , curved like a boomerang, throws like a boomerang, it’s aaaa …., didn’t see that coming, ha! Maybe the Dingo ate your baby, Seinfeld episode.

At least Rover was smart enough to “duck & cover.” (Love the picture!)

Like how Rover covers his head knowing it’s coming back.

Remember back when the only thing impossible in this comic was Rover’s telepathy?

I have a boomerang, but cannot get it to return to me. I guess what I really have is a fancy carved stick.
