What, no “chase another squirrel”?
Ralph, you look confused. You most of all should understand completely what to do!
How about a sign that just says “PANIC”? Or “ATTACK”. Or both. How about any two of the above? I think it’s the start of a screenplay for a cartoon.
My, Ralph. How you grew in size when you got to be featured.
I’d say these traffic signals were also used for ferrets.;-D
The best way to keep from hitting a squirrel is to try and hit it.
Awww Ralph, my fave!! He’s the STAR today!! Thanks for always being there ‘-)
he’s a might squirrelly……
Of course, there’s the possum at night method. Freeze in the middle of the road, then, when your car stops, sit there blinking for a few seconds before slowly shuffling off to the side. They’re just lucky that their eyes are so reflective.
And don’t get me started on deer.
According to Gary Larsen, darting in front of cars is a squirrel gang initiation rite. “Rusty’s in!”
Free Range had a similar theme. Does Ralph need help?
Why isn’t the expression “Like a squirrel out of hell” used more often?
Roadkill Ralphie for dinner.
Ralph is confused, now!
“Go Back” means a u-turn at the midpoint.
Always wondered how their claws don’t get caught in the trees sometimes. Do they retract at will?
Squirrel racing light tree … it’s a drag …!
The Squirrel traffic signs in our neighborhood are permanently stuck on “Dart!”
Forgot ‘Toss nuts.’
Ralph finally gets his own strip.
I’m noticing natural selection working in my area over the past 30-40 years. When squirrels began coming back en masse, (reduction in suburban pesticide use?), they were often found flattened on the roadway. They always dithered while dodging cars, and therefore got hit. But over the years, they have been acting less like over-amped chihuahuas and instead picking a path out and sticking with it. The result, of course, is that we’re now overrun with squirrels. Time to buy some suburban pesticide, you think?
What, no ‘DRINK’ indicator? It’s got to be happy hour somewhere.
Mama squirrel to young one, “Run both ways when crossing the street”.
