As far as water, it depends on where you live. Where I grew up? Water was fine. Reservoir water. Now I am on ground water aquifers. Safe, but a lot of calcium, etc. I have a pitcher with filters for drinking water.
not true. do not give it to them casually, but I’ve known a vet who has recommnded some human OTC drugs, like Immodium, for LARGE dogs. Fred is not so large, but a Mastiff, Rott, larger GSD? The ones that weigh as much as many grown women. Also knew a surgeon that gave his Irish Wolfhound some stuff. But Molly went 185, IIRC….
My mother’s dog snatched chocolate whenever she could. I looked it up – the LD50 (amount to kill half the subjects) of milk chocolate was 2 or 3 pounds (large dog).
I’d say the beer cheese soup is regional. I do not see it in the northeast. Very popular in Wisconsin, as is pretty much anything involving cheese. The pork chops I have never heard of, but it seems plausible.
I thought everywhere had beer battered shrimp. Heck, you can buy it frozen from Gorton’s.
