Kind of like The Big Catnap episode of Garfield and Friends.

Imagine if that was the giant baby kangaroo, or giant jumping mouse from the Sylvester cartoons.

These days, Garfield has a cell phone, so he could easily text Jon and tell him that he doesn’t like to eat mice. He can also tell Jon any of his other thoughts the same way we read them.

In reference to “It’s Christmastime again, Charlie Brown”, I believe the line is “hark”. Unfortunately, Sally says “Hockey Stick” when she is on stage.

You know, it’s a wonder where it is April Fools Day today that they don’t show strips where Jon and Garfield play April Fools pranks on one another.

There have been previous Garfield Comic Strips where the mailman comes on Sunday, but I think many of them are in story arches. For example, look at the one in 1986 when Garfield loses his memory. The Sunday strip shows the mailman coming.

First of all, your cousin’s child is your first cousin once removed, not your second cousin. Second cousins share the same great grandfather (Google it). Sometimes, if two cousins are close, the child can be referred to as a “niece”. In the case of Jon, his “niece” could be the daughter of his cousin. That can also be the case with Jon’s niece Shannon, who is introduced in an episode of Garfield and Friends. It is possible that Jon could be so close to some of his cousins that he sees them more as sisters, so their children could refer to Jon as “Uncle Jon” and he, in turn, would call them his nieces.

If you read some of the earlier Garfield Comic strips, from 1989 and 1990, you will find that Garfield says that he hates February. There is even one part that I like where it is a Monday in February where he claims that he hates February, pours coffee on himself and says, “Don’t even talk to me about Mondays in February”.

I used to own a great deal of Garfield books. Look around February 1989 for a story on Garfield hating February. There is also one the following year where he says he doesn’t want to go through another “dismal February”.
