Technically the “wet market” is any form of farmers’ market, even in the US. “Dry Markets” used to exist in the US in the form of Dry Goods stores, but the term fell out of use.As far as selling live food, the boroughs of NYC and I am sure other major US cities, team with shops where you can buy chickens, ducks, geese, goats, lambs, calves, all live. They are either butchered to order, or you take them home and do it yourself.
