   I read somewhere before that Watterson really admires Schulz’s work and that it definitely gave him inspiration for his own series. Apparently, he did write a letter to Schulz when he was younger, and he was ecstatic when Schulz actually replied (and definitely had something to do with him pursuing art). :)
