Bill and I were in Holly’s studio working out details on a project for the ranch. I told Bill “it does not matter what Holly thinks” From the Kitchen came a loud voice “I HEARD THAT!”

“What would you do? Satin twists you head. I bought a 3 story house with 2 elevators wanting to impress every one. Should have built a house in a little town, settling down…

Barkeater Lake in its “establishing” frame is about a quirky small town. An “undercurrent” is that which flows through the book or movie – yet never written or spoken. In the comic the “under current” is the shifts for power. Push your “imaginorium” a bit. “Small Town” logic is different.

In a small town the weather matters. One year we got almost no rain. Al had to plow under 325 acres of stunted corn. At the Ranch, we only got one cut of hay instead of two or three. The price of a bale jumped from 3 dollars a bale to 12 dollars a bale. A semi trailer pulled up next to the hay barn buying hay at twelve dollars. Drove it over 4 states getting twenty dollars a bale.

The Ludicrous Insanity of the arch is a divergence. Instead follow the money trail. The gal running for office that gets money from her mom. One morning I picked up 15 thousand at a account at a bank. Drove to another bank putting it in someone else’s name. To make it a bit more insane – there are banks that for the most part do not exist.

Months ago “funds” got embedded in the budget. No one ever reads that. This month a grant showed up for a grand student to work on a project. What role did I have in the decision making? None I am sure.

The Headed and the Motorola Ad look like from the 1940’s. Bob Scott was probably not born yet. Motion Picture Comic #108 was from 1952 but does not have the same header or Motorola Ad and of course not the “Bear with Me” comic.

Can animals talk? You Bet!….The pint sized girl knew that her dad was a top ranked trainer. She walked over to him asking for help with her horse. DAD “the horse is a mirror of who you are” That was not what she wanted! For several weeks she would not talk to him. Finally figuring out his point. “If the horse does not understand what you are saying and you do not understand what the horse is saying you will not get the results that you want”
