I worked for one of the largest banks in the US back in the early 1980s, and hoo boy, did the first holiday party I attended create gossip for years. Our divisional president was caught in flagrante delicto with his administrative assistant on the floor of the ladies’ room. Gah. Never saw either of them again at the bank.

I tossed a bottle with a note in it off a ferry in NC back in 1971, and got 3 post cards from folks who found it and tossed it back in, per my instructions. One from Virginia, one from Delaware and one from Toronto – the last one didn’t tell me where he found it, just that he was fishing when he did so…

In the original universe, Mrs. Angelini did most of the cooking, right? Hope she makes an appearance in this timeline, too.

The makers of Viactive calcium soft chews (osteoporosis preventative) launched it just days after the launch of Viagra. Both focused on hardness, but in very, very different ways. While you can still buy both, the former did nothing for the company that launched it. Of course, that was the same company that hired Paula Abdul as spokesperson for Boost nutritional drink just days before her bulimia struggle was announced.

I saw an interview with a trump supporter who said that the only reason she would not vote for him is if he shot someone on 5th Avenue. It’s a cult.

This comic was prescient. Now a “Christian” charity has raised hundreds of thousand$ for his defense, and folks are selling tee-shirts on Amazon that pose him as a hero. I’m so disgusted with this country sometimes. But at least the racist cockroaches are showing themselves, making it harder to shove our biggest flaw in the closet. Now to see if we actually do something about it…

He’s perhaps like my neighbor, green hair one day, purple another, hot pink yet another. Changes his hair color pretty much weekly.

A few decades back, the Nairobi airport had attendants who you toilet paper, as there was none in the restrooms themselves. And only 2-3 squares at a time, insufficient for this fat American woman indeed, but it was a good way to spend some of my Kenya money before I came home.

This is precious. I needed this today.

Math is indeed hard, since you didn’t do it even close to correctly. There would be 2.5 deaths by motorcycle accident; this is because there are only 2.5 one-hundred thousands in 250,000. Also, too, COVID isn’t the flu. The death rate is much higher, the median per a meta analysis is 0.24%, so the Sturgis folks could end up with 500 dead. That’s not counting the folks they go home to, and spread the disease among.
