You are right. The haters and racists know that their open endorsement of Trump would backfire, but by “endorsing” Biden they help Trump. Watch the editorials in their actual publications. They are all in for Trump. They will campaign for him or against him, whichever helps the most.

And yes, while Trump refused to repudiate the KKK and American Nazi endorsements in 2016, Biden immediately repudiated them in 2020 and called them out for the lying fakes they are.

The elephant is committing an obvious foul.

Clearly Ramirez is warning us that the only way Republicans can win is by fouling and cheating.

    Stop misquoting Hillary (by omission).

Hillary said Biden should “not concede the election under any circumstances” ON ELECTION NIGHT.

Because we know that Trump intends a coup by getting all his covid-oblivious cult worshippers to vote in person on election day, while safety-conscious Democrats mostly vote by mail, run up the early vote count and declare victory when half the ballots, heavily weighted in favor of Democrats, are yet to be counted?

Why did you leave off that qualifier?

    Typical conservative dishonesty.

Yeah, cuz Trump is so famous for that witty sense of humor. Wit? Well, halfway there.

Margaret Atwood is a true hero.

She is WARNING us, not suggesting where we should go. The fact that it is the liberals who are invoking her warning and defensive conservatives who are denying the similarity to themselves (while inwardly drooling over the possibilities) speaks volumes.

If suburban white women, who voted against Trump in 2016, are now turning against him, it means the warnings from Atwood are being heard and she could be a real factor in that cultural reversal.

What you say about conservative religious women is true, but it also applies to conservatives in general, men and women both.

They want to micromanage everyone else’s life but do whatever they want for themselves.

Speaking of “nobodies,” anyone else notice that Herman Cain, who proudly supported Trump and attended a rally without protection and gave his life for Trump, was never once thanked or even mentioned at the Republican convention? At any Trump event?

As soon as Herman Cain was no longer convenient, he went from hero to zero.

Herman Cain became just another very inconvenient nobody erased from the collective conservative amnesia.

Russians, cult worshipers and those in a constant state of being pickled, want four more years like 2020 — watching the devastation of a once-great nation. Putin wins.

The only principles on which today’s Republicans are consistent are, as you note, control over women and redistribution of wealth to themselves, as you note, but I would also suggest a third: holding onto power and privilege for rich, white males.

All the rest of it, including the religious stuff, is pure B.S. to appeal to a base of workers who will vote against their interests (the redistribution thing) as the elite plutocrats dangle enough shiny distractions in front of their very short attention spans.

Trump just didn’t want people to panic (unless it is about Latinx caravans invading, civil war or MS13 moving next door), the same way you would never warn someone that their house is on fire, because that would panic them.

Governments in the countries that managed the pandemic most successfully warned their people and took action. People didn’t panic, they responded.
