It seems the guy in the red hat (can’t spell “red hat” without “hatred”) misstated the name of Trump’s social media site, Türd Social.

A rape victim supporting a rapist?

A rape victim rape-shaming rape victim E. Jean Carroll?

That goes way beyond playing the “victim card.”

    It is hypocrisy on steroids.

Why is Nancy Mace rape shaming a rape victim (E. Jean Carroll)?

Why is Nancy Mace hiding behind her rape victimization to defend a rapist?

√ Coming after abortion rights? Check.

√ Coming after in vitro fertilization rights? Check.

√ On deck, birth control is next on the agenda. They are already working on bills to introduce to outlaw birth control.

If you have a uterus, they’re coming after you.

If you have a brain or heart of any gender, they’re coming after you and what you can read, teach, study, teach, believe or who you can love or what you can do behind closed doors that is nobody else’s business.

Need to “liquidate” some assets to cover the appeal bond? We all know he is still holding classified documents that were not at the sites covered by the warrants. Just sell a few of those, even if you have to dig up the old ex you buried them with, especially the nuclear secrets and, ¡voilà! total appeal bond covered.

Any claim about “God’s perfect creation” is already doomed, as the world, and especially humanity, is so widely demonstrative of the opposite, including birth defects, deformities, the cruel “dog eat dog” “law of the jungle” and, yes, the fact that, as @tim so articulately delineated, that the real “miracle of birth” is that it occurs at all, and that, yes, the most prolific abortionist in all of “creation” is god herself.

Another example of the imperfection of god’s “creation”: the mentally deficient trolls who, monkey-like, hurl feces and make distracting noises and jump up and down but never actually contribute anything of substance. They are consumed with obsession about their fantasies, as certain of their conspiracy delusions as that guy who was 100% positive about the pedi-party in the D.C. pizza parlor.

The troll is just a sad, pathetic little man-baby with no measurable brain waves, looking for attention, but a perfect example of the imperfection @Tim was referring to.

No rational person takes the incel seriously, so the best response is to simply ignore and unplug.

The case of a nine-year-old fourth grade child rape victim was not hypothetical. Some time after the Dobbs case but before the recent ballot initiative to legalize abortion rights, a nine-year-old girl in Ohio got pregnant from a rape while abortion was illegal in Ohio.

In that case, the parents and the little girl fully supported the right of the girl to abort but the state blocked her (she fled to a state where it was still legal and got the abortion).

So I assume you are in full agreement with the girl having an abortion since she and her parents were in agreement.

But suppose the girl didn’t want to be pregnant and the parents refused permission to abort? Should the parents assume lifetime responsibility for raising the child?

Or what if the immature nine-year-old fourth-grade girl thinks it would be fun to play house with her very own real-live little baby but the parents want her to abort. Do you favor the parents making the decision forcing her to abort?

Of course, if you make the argument that “she shoulda used birth control” (it is actually none of your freaking business), you automatically concede the exceptions for rape, incest (a more specific form of rape) and failed birth control.

I’ll be voting for the party that wants to give fourth-graders a free lunch, not the one that wants to force them to give birth.

Citizens United and Dobbs are both pretty ridiculous cases designed to further the ideological goals of the most extreme element of the far right.

For the “true believers,” perhaps “ensoulment” is the religious equivalent of “personhood.”

But then, if they want to base their moral or legal position on the Bible, the standard is “first breath” — Adam became a “living soul” not when his body was created from dust, but when he took his first breath.

There is no other standard in the Bible.

There is no prohibition of abortion (which was known and practiced in Bible times, Numbers chapter five even gives a primitive recipe for an abortifacient) anywhere in the Bible.

There are many references to birth, death, life, pregnancy, etc., any one of which would have been a perfect time for the Bible writers to express a negative view of abortion, but they didn’t.

In any case, our laws today are based on the Constitution and legislative statutes, not ancient books of myth, legend and superstition.

Your rhetorical question “What if she’s carrying twins, or triplets?” is an excellent one and raises another challenge to the idea that “life begins at ‘conception’.”

In the case of identical twins or triplets, there is a single occurrence of fertilization. One sperm cell (human life) + one egg cell (human life) = one fertilized embryo (human life). ONE LIFE.

Soon, the single celled blastocyst begins to divide into more cells. At some point, for some unknown reason, it divides. You now have two embryos, but still only one fertilization. If “life begins at ‘conception’” and there was only one ‘conception’ but now you have two lives, which one was conceived and when did “life” begin for the second twin?

    Dogma can be so confusing.

Again, there has to be something more than just being alive and human and having the right number of chromosomes in order to be a HUMAN PERSON.
