I think that Disney could do a good job, just comparing the tone of their currently running series The Ghost and Molly McGee along with the upcoming new season of Phineas and Ferb to CN or Nick makes Disney seem like the best choice, although I agree an independent animation production could be really cool as well. Aside from Big Nate being adapted into a CG Nicktoon (which I haven’t seen yet) and the upcoming Garfield movie, there isn’t much comic strip animation coming out.

It looks like a pepper to me, probably a jalapeno

Yeah, that reminds me of a related tidbit, the history of the Volkswagen

My guess is that the puppet show is only part of whatever event the family is attending, probably a fair or festival of some sort.

Roman numerals look impressive, but I have to say that I’m glad the Arab numerals won out in the long run. I’m bad enough at math as it is, and the convoluted process of even just addition and subtraction with Roman numerals would take ages. Probably one of the reasons that so many ancient cultures had specialists do most of the math, similarly to how the scribes of Egypt and other ancient civilizations handled the writing. Also: one of my favorite animation fun facts is that in the title sequence of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the date in Roman numerals is wrong so the copyright was messed up.

Unfortunately, because the bedbugs spread across large geographic areas, joining the Republican party will come back to bite them (pun intended) when conspiracy theories about the great insect replacement start going around…

Yeah, I saw a similar point by Two Bit DaVinci on YouTube about the limited testing, and he said there are even theories that the skulls are sawn-off llama skulls flipped backwards with facial details carefully chiseled in, because an anatomical analysis showed similarity with a llama’s cranium.

Sounds like they’ve achieved enlightenment, so I assume the remainder of the comic will focus on Phoebe and Marigold travelling across mountaintops and meditating.

I think that there might be two different forms of the mental state Marigold is describing, as I feel like one way to interpret it is from the OCD and ADHD standpoint, where the phrasing indicates a temporary lack of a hyperfixation, whereas the more general interpretation is that of tiredness or even more unconscious thought.

Well, marching band music will probably yield better cleaning results than the Baja Men, Weird Al, or any other funny music act (I know the Baja Men technically don’t make comedy music, but I laugh at most of their songs, and the situation gets even funnier when you consider that most of their big hits were covers of songs by other artists/bands).
