For help on how to follow a comic title,
I remember the first wireless remotes. They were noisy because they controlled an internal motor in the TV which manually rotated the channel dial- click, click, click until it reached the channel you had selected.
Artur is originally from Europe where soccer is a serious sport. Maybe he could be goalie.
Has anyone noticed that the color has been corrected in Gene’s t-shirt and hair from I think it was panel three from the Monday, August 18th strip?
Notice that the long suffering Mr. Rosa was not on the list?
Harcourt Fenton Mudd
Reminds me of a melodrama I once saw at a live theatre. The villain’s name was Dog’s Breath Deveraux. When someone in the play asked him how he got that name he said he was born at home and when the doctor was ready to record his name the family dog jumped up on the bead and panted right in his mother’s face and she said “Whew, dog’s breath!”
You should be able to trust the ones given out by your local library or school. Having said that, if you do not trust them better safe than sorry.
I see a confrontation between Gunther and Oop in the future.
Seeing Arlo’s belly button reminds me of the story that Mort Walker, creator of Beetle Bailey, once told. He drew a strip that showed Miss Buxley in a two piece bathing suit and showed her navel. Apparently, this had never been done in the history of American comics. The headquarters of his distribution syndicate removed it. He drew it in several more times only to have it removed each time. Finally, he drew Miss Buxley with six navels. The syndicate finally gave in and navels have been in the comics ever since.
He does go on vacation. Other comics do the same thing.
