All Trump is being asked to do is act reasonably. His own actions are driving the consequences.

Personally, while I believe Biden has done reasonably good job, they’re not doing a good job at marketing. Come up with pithy, but logical sound bites. Explain issues in a paragraph or two for those who want more thoughtful opinions. Release high-quality content regularly. Manage the news cycle.

More heat than light, as ever… a page out of Trump’s book. If you don’t have anything intelligent to say (or sketch), calling them names will suffice. Goes for the cult followers, too. For where their leader goes, they blindly follow.

Taxes are how all of us pay for things we cannot afford to do individually. Roads, bridges, police, courts, water, sewer, common defense, and on we go. Everyone should owe taxes, as we all benefit. Yes, the rich should pay more because it is cruel to take a higher percentage of dollars from the poorest of us. No one likes taxes. The government needs to spend the funds wisely and without graft. The poor don’t have the leverage to engage in graft, so the breaks go to those who already have 100 times more than they need. Keep more of their own money? If we all did that, there would be no infrastructure whatsoever.

Never intended to be a career? Ever see the signs talking about how great the job is and how it can lead to management positions?

    I keep envisioning Trump’s 10 commandments…

“Thou shalt bear false witness against thy neighbor”“Thou shalt commit adultery”“Thou shalt steal”

Oh heck, just remove the “not” from all of them and you’ve got Donny’s 10 Commandments.

When we support nations who bomb and destroy others, we plant seeds of terrorism. The Russians did that, and they now reap what they sowed. We did the same and got 911. We risk it again by supporting the destruction of Palestine. Not that I support Hamas, either. The Canadians, though part of Nato don’t incur such wrath. All I’m saying is to carefully consider the unintended consequences, and make sure they can be justified decades from now before backing cruelty for political purposes.

No matter which “side” we support, we condone murder. The humane approach is to oppose both sides. Hamas kicked it off with a terror attack, but the jews had penned in the Palestinians in an open air prison for decades. Actions beget consequences.

A pox on both their houses! Both parties are running deeply flawed candidates.

When people lie in financial filings, they erode the required faith in the system for commerce to flourish. Abuses included Enron, Bernie Madoff, The Wolf of Wall Street, and banks underwriting mortgages without verifying income then selling off the liabilities. No harm done? The vast majority of those loans are still outstanding! We also all got screwed by T not paying taxes. Screw the insurance companies, what happens? They raise rates on EVERYONE.
