You say “the popular vote” as if we had “an election”. On 11/8/16, there were 50 separate elections across the US. Trump won the popular vote in 30 of those 50. Individual states do retain a certain amount of independence on matters within their own state borders, one of them being the right to decide how their electors are chosen.
Did anyone see the video where the college students were asked what they thought of certain statements made by a president, and they automatically went to “racist”, “white-supremacist”, “hateful”. Then they were shown the video of Obama saying them. Things that make ya go, “hmmmm…”
