For help on how to follow a comic title,
“In no particular order….Refusal of Service cases are upheld every year…in virtually every jurisdiction, in favor of the Business Owner. Often times, it’s “He said, She said” situation (usually backed up by the testimony of the “abused” Staff).Every suit, frivolous or real, is a different Fact Situation. My Clients see dozens of these per year.I have succeeded in getting EVERY one of them dismissed, and in two situations, we are pursuing Legal Costs (where we were able to show that “pre-meditated” Fraud was involved…it’s a bit of a “Cottage Industry”), attempting to Shake Down the Owner for a few Thousand Dollars. The last thing they want, is to go to Trial. That’s why there are so many Settlements on the “Court House Steps”. It’s “certainty” of your Downside. If you go before a Judge, Anything Can (and sometimes, Does) Happen. Many are simply not willing to take the chance…and then, there’s the Adverse Publicity…If You Lose? So, to answer “the” question…YES…I am a practicing Litigator for the last 40+ years, and I think that I’ve just about “seen it all”.Cheapskate0 never said that Ann would Prevail, merely inferred that she might. I didn’t place too much faith in their opinion anyway. Now, as for Ann’s ill-considered “Blimpo” comment, it does not appear that anyone else was within earshot, to have overheard that (?), but that should be grounds enough for an Owner to order a Patron to leave. Not having been Insulted directly, I doubt Ox’s ability to undertake a Liable Action, but…?…and that’s the “Problem”, too many of my fellow Associates willing to take on frivolous suits such as that, that Ann might bring? (…but, with a vindictive “Villain” like the Ann character, and access to her Husband/Boyfriend’s money…?)Too many “What if’s” to contemplate further. After all, this is only a Comic Strip (Reminds me of the Murphy Brown/Dan Quayle controversy of almost 30 years ago…over a Fictional TV Show)
Bernice, in Vegas they would say that you were “Trying to make your Point, the Hard Way”
A bit of an Over reaction. BTW, Luann IS NOSY!
Uh-Oh, A “Squander Relapse”
Is it just me, or is Tiffany being portrayed as a bit “Thinner” (meaning less Porky than previously?)
I wonder if Ed realizes that he might have found a new Business Partner? I wonder if Tiffany realizes that she might have found a new Business?
Les is not quite ready to give up those kittens
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Just Teenage Girls being petty, snarky, Teenage Girls. Their “Claws” are only Half on Display. I wouldn’t make too much of it….This too shall pass.
