Huey, set a better example and mow the lawn so you don’t lose soccer balls in it.
He’ll just hit the snooze, even if the clock is Huey, sent by Granddad to wake Riley. With the strips so out of order who knows if that will ever show up again.
Now we’ve lost two years. This says it’s from July 3, 2001, following yesterday’s July 2, 1999. How hard can it be to run the strips in order?
Yesterday’s strip was from July 1, 2000. Today’s is July 2, 1999. Maybe we’ll continue with 1999 and get to see the boys’ teachers among other things.
GoComics skipped an entire year, missing the real introduction of Caesar and the strip I remember when Huey told Granddad that Huey couldn’t finish the lawn because Riley was trying to cut Cindy’s hair with the weedwhacker. On August 29, 2021, they showed the strip from June 18, 1999. The next day they showed the strip from June 19, 2000, and have been continuing the 2000 strips since then.
If it’s the same cub, then not only have the kids stopped growing but Sunny must be repeating fifth (or whatever) grade. I thought she was a much better student than that.
If that was the cub from several years ago, then the kids should have aged the same amount.
That “someone” was Ed Wuncler III, wearing a bulletproof vest, in the first episode of the cartoon. Ed III held onto his beer bottle throughout.
RIP Ed Asner, the voice of Ed Wuncler I.
Concentration and Jeopardy! were on back-to-back when I was a child. In concentration the contestants had to solve a rebus that was revealed after turning around squares with matching pictures.
Yes, Huey and Riley’s great-uncle Fred called on August 11. No indication if it’s Robert’s brother or the boys’ mother’s uncle. That unrelated uncle won’t show up for a long time.
