   So if this is the case, what does this mean in the ways of Calvin’s state of mind haha. This must mean that at some point the Hobbs personality took over(Calvin’s body) and placed that sign down by the creek. This would indicate that Calvin has split personalities, it also proves a statement I made later on in the comic. That basically Hobbs is Calvin’s grown up and mature self(Hobbs) trying to pretty much help his(Calvin) adolescent self work toward growing up. Of course it is just a comic and I am probably way reading into this haha, but from a psychological stand point it seems logically sound.

   I agree with you, our society does this so that the new generations will conform with their standards. They don’t want our imagination’s to run free because if they do, we will see how much a joke everything in this country really is and what a crappy way it is heading. I also agree with Tammsys because, in multiple comment’s before this I have stated that Hobbes is just another personality in Calvin(his mature/girl-liking side) pretty much fighting for dominance a lot of the time.

   Tails wag so that the animal can keep itself balanced, for cats and dogs especially, it is a big reason why they chase their tails
