   The reason for the qwerty layout was to space commonly used letters farther apart to prevent the striking arms from jamming up. That’s why the keyboard isn’t laid out alphabetically.

   In 2005, my wife and i got to meet Ms Turbo’s real-life inspiration and had a 15 minute chat with her when she and her band did a “Welcome Back for the Troops” gig at Ft Hood. She was kind, gracious, and played a heck of a set for over an hour before the meet and greet. We were at the very end of a VERY long line. Waited over an hour and a half to shake her hand and say hello. When we finally got up to her, we were the last and she just felt like chatting. She was even kind enough to get on our cell phone and talk to one of our best friends who was a tremendous fan as well. The only question I didn’t ask her that I wish I had was if she had ever seen this “Tess Turbo” story arc.
