   Leaves are tree’s fertilizer and the makers of soil. Mulch them. They also provide cover for myriad numbers of pollinators and lightning bugs and other creatures that make the earth so rich and inhabitable for humans. As in so many other things with nature, we take away the innate joy of childhood and turn it into a chore or some other nasty observance.

   What’s with this nasty mistreatment of animals that is supposed to be “comic”? Too many cats and other animals have had things dumped on them and it’s NOT funny in the least. Please stop!

   I join the BOO HISS crowd! With all the horrible things humans have done to fellow creatures on this earth – to try and make a “funny” out of this situation is only adding to the stench. We don’t need such visuals. The fact is – we know this kind of treatment for animals and humans is a reality but not one that should be viewed as entertainment. Sickness, yes.

   True natural predators only kill to eat. Domesticated cats kill anything that moves if they feel like “playing”. Difference is their “playing” is for keeps.

   What does “left leaning” have to do with anything? The plastic straws etc. are crap for anyway you lean – up down or sideways- and yes, I was very surprised to see them in this strip!
