Every economic theory works perfectly until it doesn’t. Just ask the person who invented it. There is always an excuse for any failure.

Well that solves that mystery. Since polar bears don’t really hibernate, are not big on reality TV shows and are too poorly coordinated to ski, their actual winter activities have always been open to speculation. Now I’ll finally be able to sleep.

Virtually everyone has an opinion on this…especially in light of western Europe’s problems. Unfortunately “political correctness” seems to be fogging up the issue. The media appears to be very careful not to step on toes so its hard to tell between what’s reality and what isn’t. I do know that a lot of people I never met say they want me dead.It will be interesting how it all works out (or doesn’t). Hopefully the Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times? won’t apply.I guess I fit in the “pundit” or “pseudo-pundit” column.

Drones dropping water bombs are a pretty minor irritation. The problem is that drones can drop anything anywhere. And to think that cruise missiles were once scary.

Global warming is a fact. Proof? Look at the recent changes in the polar ice caps. Without any scientific proof at all, it would be reasonable to believe that we are making a contribution to it. However, those who are making fortunes from talking about it while they personally have the ecological footprints of small cities, those who unnecessarily fabricate evidence of it, those who talk down to us about it like we are idiots and those who turn it into a political issue detract us from the reality of the situation and have muddled the severity of it. There are just so many agendas out there we have a tough time knowing who or what to believe. If the changes we’ve seen so far are just the beginning, the tip of the iceberg so to speak, heaven help us.

If you can’t imagine who would want to live to be a 100…ask someone who is 99.

You can’t go around wrapped in cotton baton either. You may live to be 100 but why bother?

On the Canadian prairies our most popular winter sport isn’t hockey…it’s getting out our aerosol cans and trying to shoot holes in the ozone layer. It seems to be working. And if polar ice cap melts? Well, that’s life.
