For the last fifteen years I’ve been in school district administration, financial mangement, in small rural areas From that perspective, I can tell you categorically, that as a culture, we do note value our children. I’ve seen this cartoon playout in real life more than once. And there are paltry resources to help that child. You are helpless and it is heartbreaking.

“less responsible, they were neglectful up the point of being abusive? That note is going to leave a mark that’s going to hurt for years to come.

The beginning of self awareness?I love the art, but the joke is getting old.

    This is a repeat.

This is a very weird cartoon. So…Mr & Mrs Banana are being told to be ready to take their beloved home, cook, and eat it? And that’s on top of the stretch that sentient might exist, and how do they even move? But no irony, just weird.

Gave it a year. Just…banal. Ta ta.

Stantis has either mis-understood Bismark’s quote or he has stretched beyond it’s meaning to turn it in to a partisan dig.I don’t mind the dig, but to do it by essentially misquoting Bismark is both intellectually lazy and dishonest. But then, we are not on the side of the angels here, are we?

all I carry is the purse of atheism.

  9. over 1 year ago on The Big Picture

As disrespectful as those idiots are, I wonder at the lives who I imagine are stuck at some past emotional event and what we hear is a cri d’cour to recapture that long ago lost moment.

That and they’re insensitive, selfish jerks.

This is such a great strip. Beyond the depiction of normality of LGBTQ lives and the lives of their families it subversively begs the question of our assumptions of the Patriarchy and their validity in the twenty first century.
