Donald Trump is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life.

Thank you, Michael. And I’ve never said that before. This Russian thing is something we should all come together on.

We need to take care of this. This is something that should not be partisan.

“…I wonder who he will blame,…”

I hear George Soros is already spinning a nefarious plot to do something evil to something Trump is trying to achieve. Acorn is at it again too. Never mind that it no longer exists.

@amber71 and @martensThank you. May we find the best way out of this mess.

@martensCan you provide the link to the quote in your comment? These are comforting words and I would like to see more. Thanks.

I remember the George W. Bush years. And that is why this year seems like deja vu to me. Trump is Bush only much much worse.

And by the way, let me put in a plug for what I thought was his finest hour: after the 9/11 attack he used his position to do what he could to discourage anti-moslem violence.I don’t see our president elect doing the same. I think this is one reason I am reading about increased anti-moslem and anti-semitic incidents.

And this is just what I am seeing in the news. I carpool with someone who is sikh and her nephew has been told that “now that Trump is president you will have to go back where you came from”.

I am sorry to hear that, Geezer. One thing that has come out of this election is to what extent many of us live in a bubble. I assume you voted differently from me. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on Russian involvement in Trump’s election.

Nothing to say about the rest of my post, then? Because this election was NOT business as usual. If, as seems clear to me, the Russians wanted Trump and the Republican Party to win the election and did all to help, then what does that say about Trump? What does it say about the Republican Party. What does it say about people who want us to move on and pretend that all is well?

Geezer: I have to ask. Seriously. Is power a means or an end? Because these days I get the impression from “conservatives” that they would rather see a Russian puppet in the white house if he is nominally Republican than a Democrat.

I have seen no evidence that George Soros did much of anything this election. But, I have seen plenty of evidence that the Russians did. Julian Assange boasting about all the emails he was going to release. The original story earlier this year.

If you are truly patriotic then you will support an investigation at least as thorough as the Benghazi ones. This should go beyond party allegiance.

When I see cartoons such as the ones above, it does remind me of Russian propaganda. I hope you are as sorry as I am that things have come to such a pass that I feel this way.
