I saw no national mention of the day the music died on the internet or printed page.

February 3, 1959. RIP Buddy and Ritchie you were a big influence on my music career. J. P. Richardson, the big bopper, not so much. J.P. Richardson, Jr. is touring and I can’t imagine what it must be like hearing the same old tired novelty tunes over and over again.

  2. about 7 years ago on The Argyle Sweater

    I most certainly agree.

I answer the phone in French and that confuses most of them since nearly no one speaks French in the USA these days. I also keep my old police whistle nearby for the especially aggravating ones. I blow them right out of their Indian headsets.

The Old Sarge who is not happy with the new GoComics platform. Merde.

Thanks to Tom Lehrer. (sp). I love his tunes and have since the fifties. We used to listen to him on 45rpms, then 33 1/3 albums and finally on CD a decade or two ago.

Love this when Leopold’s parents are featured.

Agreed. I really like this beautiful woman.

Come on, Carrie, you can do it, you are a princess.

C’est la vie. In a battle of wits you two would be POW"s, mon petite shu-shus. Et Voila!

  8. over 7 years ago on Human Cull

The home owner will never know is what they said at my house when it was built.

    The old Sarge

  9. over 7 years ago on Lay Lines

I still after all of these years, miss my Navy Dad who served in the Pacific arena. He died in 1949 when I was five so I never really got to know him.

I made it up for my daughter and we are great friends these days, although quite far apart.

    The lucky old Sarge.

I agree, I shoulda known. No lasting harm done however.
