That’s as may be. There are some books that are so bad that they transcend their authors lack of talent, just as their are authors whose talent is for writing bad books. The Bridges of Madison County sold something like 60,000,000 copies, so it appears that there’s a market for that sort of thing. I guess you could pay me to read another Hemingway novel, but I’m not a fan.
