   I could use a guardian angel myself, but sadly I find this particular theme of “Rose” annoying. Just me I guess. I prefer the themes with Peekaboo. But then again I’m a Crazy Cat Lady and only subscribed in the first place because of her. Whatever happened to her boyfriend Ringo?

   I must be too old and cynical but the dream angel is very boring and annoying to me. Otherwise I love this strip for its love of family and of course Peekaboo. My second-favourite cartoon cat after Bucky. Not that Bucky is nice, mind you, but interesting.

   A bit obscure. It took me several minutes to figure this one out, but then again I’m not in USA so the “no child left behind” thing wasn’t that familiar.

   Pretty funny, albeit a tad stupid – being as I am Australian and living in Sydney. As a lifetime reader of Get Fuzzy and a Pearls reader for a mere year or so, I think it’s pretty brilliant most of the time. I liked the oreos and polar bear theme even thought a bit sad. I also read Rose is Rose, because it is uncomplicated and life is complicated enough. Merry Christmas Pearls readers.

   Well my comments mysteriously disappeared. Yes, I think Buck is the Grim Reaper, and the toilet plunger his scythe. Pretty annoying theme either way. Darby, you have lost your edge. For the Christian part of your readers, it is Christmas. Maybe a Christmas theme rather than death in the night. Jeez, this is really boring.

    Stupid, I know, but as an English major, this mis-quote never fails to infuriate me. It’s not “Soothes the Savage Beast”, it’s “Soothes the Savage Breast”. Grrrrr. Sort of like Play it Again Sam, which was never said in the movie. Although in this context I guess beast is appropriate. How did the Oreo penguins get out of lock-up in USA? Too little information here. Different oreos I guess but it’s sad. I don’t like sad cartoons. Like the little duckling rejected by his Mum. Not funny. Sad. Better quit with the sad stuff Mister or I will stop viewing this cartoon, all the way from Australia. Cartoons by definition are supposed to cheer you up.
