   I’m not an expert on this or any other comic strip. I have been a fan of Alley Oop for a long time, reading the strip here for at least the last 20 years. I find it very interesting that some of the same people have been complaining about the strip for that long. Same comments, same digs. Just sayin’.

   nottawasaga : Right on in regard to david42. And to david42 I would say that I fully support nottawasaga. Did you send the letter directly to Carole? I doubt it. When are you going to get it into your head that there are those of us out here who just simply enjoy the comics. Of course there are some like you and nightgaunt who think that your writing is somehow superior. How about if you had to put some of those stories into a daily strip along with the art work, do you think you can do better? I doubt it, because if you could, you would have your own syndicated strip and would not be on here bothering us.

   Come on, how about lightening up just a little. I don’t think I have ever seen such negative crap in all my life. You know some of us get sick of the same ones of you complaining and gripping all the time. If you can do any better start your own strips. Believe it or not some of us still like many of the comics just the way they are. Yes I understand that times change and over time many strips change as welll as writers. I may not like every change but that is the way it is. I was always taught that “if you can change something do it or stop belly aching.”

    I am glad to see some other folks, who like the strip, voice their opinion as well. I can only say that those who are not pleased with the strip need to go elsewhere. Larry and Nightgaunt maybe you need to start your own strip with your own characters. Leave the Benders alone for a change. There may be those who feel the same about you.
