Personally, I think Tom is a j*erk.I understand he’s overwhelmed right now, but he walks away, leaving Ann with the luggage? And why is this baby a surprise? Either they were trying for one or they weren’t – Tom doesn’t pursue either line of thought at all, he just accepts it, and tacks on a marriage? Today the strip glosses over reality.
This can go either way—(1) “Why Annie, this is just WONDERFUL news! And I love it that you’ve convinced Tiffany to become a more responsible person!!” -or-(2) “Annie, we spent time together & you somehow didn’t mention anything about a pregnancy? We agreed you were taking steps so that that couldn’t happen!! And why would you set it up (without MY approval!) to have my beautiful Princess doing household chores when there is a staff for that!”
