Happy Veterans Day to all veterans but especially to my son. I always wanted him to follow my footstep and go to college. He decided to enter the armed services instead. He received training there to become the wonderful man and father that he is today. XO

Not everybody who has read Working Daze has read Maria’s Day. I was wondering the same thing. How about a little tolerance? Maybe I’ll just leave the strip to the creator and his snobs.

In my home finding a pen isn’t a problem. The problem is finding a pen that still works.

34 wonderful years and counting. Thanks for asking.

My poor brother has unfortunately never remarried.

I met my husband at a funeral. It was the funeral of his sister who was married to my brother. An extremely sad day to be sure, but I like to think it made our marriage possible.

Oh good, other middle-aged couples play tackle too. A few weeks ago my husband I were tossing the football. He dared me to tackle him. No easy task as he is 6’4" and too damn close to 300lbs (I’m only about 120 lbs.). After dragging me all over the front yard for several minutes, I finally got him down by jumping on his back and putting my full weight on his lower legs. Some of the neighbors probably think we’re strange but appeared to enjoy the show. BTW, we live in the American southwest and don’t have a grass lawn. It’s gravel. Owww.

Unfortunately that is me and my husband. When it comes to alcohol I’ve always been a lightweight. When we were dating he referred to me as a “cheap” date (i.e. I kept the bar tab low).

My adoptive father was forced to be right-handed by his parents. Little did he know they were possibly saving his life!

Sad day for me. This was the first Cul de Sac I ever read. It’s all repeats for me now. :-(
