    There’s a concept called “expected value “ which is the probability times the payout (if my memory from college Probability class serves).Hypothetically, if the probability is 1/1,000,000 and the payout is $2,000,000, then the expected value is $2.00 and in some weird way it makes sense to play. Now plug in the actual probability and winnings and see whether it still makes sense … (To do this rigorously, you need to add in all the probabilities and winnings of lesser prizes, but I’ll leave that as an exercise for the reader. Haha)
