   AND, before that trip, check the pressure in the spare tire. That frequently gets overlooked. A temporary spare that calls for 50 psi won’t bee much good at 30.

   To my mind, the biggest difference with nitrogen is the convenience it negates by eliminating the possibility of pumping up your own tires in your own garage.

    Not true. I am American raised and (in my mind ill-) trained with imperial measurements. I have self trained to use metrics solely because I find them simpler and superior.

    That is only for personal use. I concur, that when it comes to communication with the vast majority of others in this country, the only useful measurements are imperial.
