My phone stays at home, like it was a landline. I don’t need it constantly in my hand, pocket, car, when I’m shopping, etc. I’m not distracted from more important things by a ringing phone.
If everybody didn’t think they had to have the latest iPhone every time one comes out, and all the channels they can find on cable and other pay TV outlets, and the latest outrageously priced sneakers and designer labels for all their clothes, maybe they could afford to live. I don’t have any pay TV, a cheap phone, Walmart clothes, and have less than 1K SS each month. I eat well, am adequately clothed, am comfortable year round, and frankly wouldn’t know what to do with what some people think is a “living income” standard. And I never earned $15/hour when I was working.
If I don’t recognize a number, and there isn’t a known id with it, I swipe down and then mark it spam or blocked. I hardly ever get calls now. But when I do, I know it’s someone I should talk to.
