   I’m old enough to remember the grading system before the current one. It consisted of three grades, “E” for excellent, “S” for satisfactory, and “U” for unsatisfactory. So, moving to the new grading system and continuing with an “E” grade would have made it go from the best to the worst, which would be quite confusing. Thus, the “E” grade was discontinued and replaced with the more acceptable “F.”

   Dave Barry wrote a hilarious article about his first colonoscopy, and everyone shoud read, especially for those first-timers:

   “MoviPrep is a nuclear laxative. I don’t want to be too graphic, here, but: Have you ever seen a space shuttle launch? This is pretty much the MoviPrep experience, with you as the shuttle. There are times when you wish the commode had a seat belt. You spend several hours pretty much confined to the bathroom, spurting violently. You eliminate everything. And then, when you figure you must be totally empty, you have to drink another liter of MoviPrep, at which point, as far as I can tell, your bowels travel into the future and start eliminating food that you have not even eaten yet.”

   I attended High School in the 60s, and my father insisted I take a typing class. His idea was that since I was a guy, I would become a company clerk if I were drafted and could also type. Although I was never drafted, I was the only guy in typing class, which was a pretty nice situation for a young man. I met my High School sweetheart there, who sat behind me in class. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago. However, I later became a Software Engineer, where the ability to type was a good skill. I’ve continued to use my typing skill my entire life, making writing comments like this one a lot easier.

   I’m a serious coffee addict and love this toon. I roast my own coffee and have a countertop in the kitchen totally dedicated to coffee. My coffee is so strong that instead of putting the proverbial hair on your chest, it’s much more likely to cause it to fall out! My coffee is currently undergoing clinical trials at my local cancer center as an alternative to chemotherapy! Early results look promising!
