My grandmother was left-handed and she had very beautiful cursive handwriting. I don’t know how she held her paper to prevent smudging, but she learned how to write before ball point pens were invented.

Why not a pony and a dog?

I’ve had both boys and girls as students who loved riding ponies and horses.

Any horse can be trained well with time and patience. I’ve met people who think that training a horse is by using force but that only make them fearful or will fight back. But to teach a horse to respect, people need to respect their size and strength. I have a mare that when I first got her used to practically run over me at feeding time. Now, she and my other horse will go into their stalls and will stand there with the doors open and wait. They know that I will not feed them until they are standing quietly and patiently.

They could be taught to fetch. I know people who like to teach horses and pony tricks.
