Linus has some crazy ideas about zoology. He’d get along well with Luna Lovegood.

In Doctor Who episode “Mawdryn Undead” it’s shown that the Blinovitch Limitation Effect causes a massive discharge of energy when a person crosses their own timeline and the two versions of them touch. In “Father’s Day” it empowers the Reapers, which eat everything in the area of a paradox. Either way, no bueno.

I think “they” is going to inevitably be the winning pronoun. As somebody who cares about both social justice and linguistic rigor, I much prefer it to the group that takes the singular gendered pronouns and adds something like an x or z to them (I’ve seen both). Having a gender-neutral word that represents both singular and plural isn’t all that new, we’ve been using “you” and its declensions that way since “thou” fell out of favor. Unless you live somewhere that uses “y’all”, or I guess “yous guys” down in NYC.

One of my cats is so smart she hides when we dust, because after dusting comes vacuuming. I wish I had her when I took general psychology, I could have written a paper on behavioral conditioning.
