   We have now moved from a sports comic strip to to one of social commentary. Divorce, abortion, school shootings etc. I can see all these on the news, please go back to a sports comic strip.

   Boy, this is just weird. Are Gil and wife getting divorced? Where is Coach Kaz going? Is the volleyball team going to State? Is the Thorp girl going to get it on with the VT Coach’s son? What is the lady that blamed Thorp for the abortion going to do? BTW, is there any football happening? And to end all, a Jaybird?? really?? and a huge political statement about slave ownership and Native American land issues which is not a venue for a sports comic strip. My feeling about the new writer….. Hraaaaak!

   This story line is really awful. Divorce, Abortion???? Come on, this is a sports strip. Get rid of the new writer. Lately, the strip is confusing.

   I agree that this script is not the traditional sports oriented story line that we are used to. If Barajas wants to comment on marital issues, go somewhere else.
