I’ve seen turkeys roosting in trees. Wild turkeys can in fact fly – not all that well, but well enough to get up in trees, out of reach of coyotes and such.

H. P. Lovecraft used “nauseous” correctly. Woody Allen used it incorrectly. Nowadays, pretty much everyone who uses it means “nauseated” rather than “nauseating”. This makes older works possibly confusing for the modern reader.
