   If there ever was an example of government not working this is it! The Dulles access road is a road within a road, one the original built for the airport, the other, now a toll road controlled by private enterprise with the blessing of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Politicians 20 some years ago hailed this arrangement as a model of cooperation, this where only one road needs to exist!Fast forward to today, and now they wonder why it’s going to cost $8 billion for the Metro extension. If they hadn’t given up all of the right-of-ways that existed way before the toll road was built, let ONE entity control the highway to the airport the rail would’ve been at the airport ten years ago!It is unmeasurably screwed up. Dulles, the international airport that serves the nation’s capitol is without public transport save a bus trip or taxi. Shameful and stupid, that’s our government.
