Does this remind anyone else of Michael Crichton’s “Prey”? Ugh, the thought of it makes me shiver.

@scaeva, That’s what I was thinking too. They could make it a team effort and maybe everyone could realize they’re on the same team

I don’t know that those are for Lupin. It seems to me that she has been dropping somewhat subtle hints that there could be a new baby. I’ve been observing this for a number of weeks but if it has come up on the comments already, I may have missed it. If that’s true, I wonder if the new baby will be one that Goldie adopts. Poor Lupin, out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Well done! Applause I had to pause partway through to restart and sing it myself! Thank you for brightening my day.

This seems like a response sometimes seen when the youngest kid in a family is no longer the youngest. He’s accustomed to things being a certain way and change like that can be hard. It takes time to adjust to that. Everyone handles change differently. I appreciate the “realness” shown here. Things that upset people/cats aren’t always rational.

All of the comics have been so spot on lately! You’re doing a great job capturing things many of us feel right now.

“People threw YOU away,” was what got me. Sookie (a spirited tricolor who adopted me as her human) was found in a house after a family moved and apparently left a 2 week old kitten with a tail that appears to have been stomped or crushed. After 2 days of loud mewing, a neighbor forced a way into the house to find her. She was in a bad state but she is now a healthy 10 year old kitty with toys, treats, and a kitty companion, Jack. Sookie is very distrustful of many people. Occasionally though, she walks up to people as though she has always known and loved them. Sometimes we appreciate good things more because we have experienced bad ones.

Yes. Methodists and Greek Orthodox for sure. Some other groups have “sponsors” which serve the same/similar role but for various reasons use a different title.

I saw it. The original ones are smooth. I know someone whose kid wound up with a head injury from a shark one. She said the fin hit the kid in the head and they wound up at the ER with a kid with a skull fracture. I considered the shark one before hearing her head gushing story. If you see an original style, that’d be awesome. Thanks for looking. I saw the 25th anniversary version toypedo at target and it’s shaped very oddly and had several negative reviews.

Original toypedos. They’re a swim toy (like a blunt dart for shooting through the water) that was easy to find 2 years ago. They made them for 25+ years. Now my nephew wants one and I haven’t been able to find one. Amazon has none. Ebay has a few for $50+. They were only a <$10 toy.
