It’s still in the 90s where I live. Grilling season still has plenty of days left.

In a similar vein to Plods reply, people go out to see live sports when the ticket cost and parking cost are reasonable. It used to be that we could go to minor league games and see a decent game at a relatively cheap price. Now, I can’t even do that — the local minor league teams (AHL and AAA baseball) charge so much for tickets & parking that it’s an expensive night out.

Probably for a while. If she ever hears of a treasure that’s potentially available, then she’ll likely be back with a head of steam.

I use a browser add-on that allows me to rotate an image using the right mouse button. Saves wear & tear on my neck.

I’ve only seen this kind of stuff at “casual” franchise restaurants, like Chili’s.

Ham & lima beans were one of the better ones to eat cold — we couldn’t always heat them up before eating them. I don’t remember big chunks of fat in those, unlike some of the other meals. There were others that I couldn’t eat, hot or cold. By the end of my time in the army, I couldn’t eat any of the meat slices cans unless I had lots of mustard.

Some of those commercials are on the Flintstones DVDs also. I remember watching the Flintstones during the original run on our B&W TV. Evening cartoons before going to bed.

You have to blame the Romans — they spread the use of bagpipes everywhere that they went.

Actually, cattle seem to love bagpipes. I used to play the Great Highland Bagpipe when I was younger. Sometimes, I’d practice out doors, in areas where the tunes wouldn’t bother anyone. If I was near a pasture, all of the cows/cattle would come across the pasture and hang out by the fence listening to me while I playing. It was always strange to have that kind of audience.

@taz1313: lots of us watched WKRP in Cincinnati during the original run. It’s still one of the best TV comedies that I’ve ever seen.
