For help on how to follow a comic title,
That needs a spoiler alert, given that it’s tomorrow’s strip.
Even old people don’t necessarily like candy corn. I hated it as a kid. I love black licorice, especially the Dutch variety (non-salted). I buy the Katzen Ohren licorice at World Market stores. Most of the regular black licorice in the stores are too sweet.
I think that turkey and chicken are a lot more versatile, from a meal preparation POV. I like duck but having it once-a-year at home is enough for me. Geese are just too expensive for regular eating.
In many (most?) states, it’s illegal to sell wild game. As Olddog1 mentioned, the ducks (and chickens, turkeys and geese) that you see in a supermarket are farm raised. Ducks have a lot more fat then chickens and no where near as much meat on them. They are tasty, though, and the rendered duck fat can be saved and used to cook other things in (great for frying potatoes).
That’s a great short, especially given that it was a senior project by animation students.
Although I like meatloaf quite a bit, I don’t want to eat it every day. So, the freezer allows me to extend what I cook over a longer period of time. The texture of the de-thawed & re-heated meatloaf shouldn’t be a problem, depending on the type of meat you use. I generally use a mixture of ground pork and ground beef in my meatloaf and it works out ok — using only ground beef also works well. Using ground turkey or ground chicken might not work as well, though. While I was still working, I used to freeze a lot of things that I cooked. Now, I find that I cook up a soup/stew/casserole/stir fry and eat on it until it’s gone. Too much stuff in the freezer and not enough room to store extras.
Because she is part duck?
Meatloaf slices freeze nicely. After making meatloaf, I often put some slices for sandwiches into the freezer to use for sandwiches in a few weeks. I de-thaw and re-heat them in a microwave. This avoids having to gorge on meatloaf before it goes bad.
Yeah, Cigar Aficionado was always too pretentious.
MAD? That is SPARTA!!!!!!!!! (to paraphrase the quote)
